Amazing moving image of a girl spinning round – she changes direction when you start using another side of your brain. Try it with more than one person – crazy how one person sees her change direction while for the other, she keeps going the same way… Can you make her change at will?

dancer turns

If you don’t believe it, here’s someone who added gray lines to the image so you can see the different directions.

What does it all mean? Some say that people who see the dancer moving clockwise (like me) are right brain dominant and tend to be more risk taking and imaginative.

wow this is wierd. I have now got it where she doesn’t do full circles at all, but goes one way with the left leg extended and then comes back the other with the right leg extended, like a pendulum motion rather than 360 degrees movements. My brain must be soooo clever lol

OK so I’ve found a trick to make it go either way – independent of brain waves 🙂

Look at her lower foot, not the one swinging. Focus on the rotating movement of the foot. Now try to imagine that it’s actually moving in the other direction – just the foot. That should get you in control in no time!

wow. i can see her go both ways. but i first noticed that she would move the opposite direction when i was reading the words above her or below her, but as soon as i looked at the picture again she would change direction.

the activity is supposed to be about using both sides of the brain not try to see how quickly you can try to use the other side of your brain.
