Musicovery: play your mood

July 18, 2007 at 8:32 am 2 comments

Fond of new music but don’t feel like logging in anywhere or looking for certain artists? How about Musicovery as an alternative: either pick a point somewhere between dark and positive, energetic and calm, or just choose a genre, and watch linked bubbles appear with different artists corresponding to your mood. From every song you can go and link to other musical atmospheres.

I liked this better than, say, Last.fm because I get to listen quicker and with less hassles, and I can change moods in a second – which is mostly the way I listen to music: mood-driven. I don’t know how expansive their library is though, or whether they are still expanding it. I also like the layout and the fact that it’s really simple – although that can quickly change if the service were to become popular.

“I don’t know how expansive their library is though”…

we are still working to expand our database to fit what people want to hear… and we are still working on others features but Your post is right on purpose because we realy want to keep the service as simple (it doesn’t mean less powerfull…) as possible…

    cheers

I definitely like the fact that it’s so simple and intuitive, and as long as I don’t start hearing the same songs in a week’s time you’ve got a fan. Are you working on social features or leaving those out on purpose? How can we let you know what we want to hear?
