Songza – Listen to any song instantly!

*** Check out this post and more on this blog’s new location: http://www.youretime.com/blog/ ***

This is SO cool – just type in the title of a song, the artist, a combination and you’ll get a list of options that you can immediately listen to it, rate it, etc. An online jukebox…

What was the first song you looked for? With me it was Summer Love from Justin, again a really cool song from him. I used to not really like him but he’s really grown into an innovative music maker. Or maybe I’m just turning poppy :-)

Online Clipboard

Here’s another handy online application, to be found at cl1p.net.

It allows you to copy and paste between computers in three easy steps:

1. Enter a URL that starts with http://cl1p.net (example: http://cl1p.net/syndactyle/)
2. Paste in anything you want: some text or even a small file. Click ‘Save’ when done.
3. On the other computer open a browser to the same URL. You will find the information you entered in step 2.

No signup, no login. Thanks to StumbleUpon, my new best friend.

Here’s another tip: when you’re about to cough, twiddle your finger in your ear. You think I’m pulling your leg don’t you… It really works!

Live like the Simpsons

I must admit I am a fan of the Simpsons; I’m still waiting for someone who wants to go and watch the movie with me (for the moment I’m stuck between those who don’t like the Simpsons, and others who fear the disappointment of a whole movie of them – I already liked it when I saw the sequence with the pig :-p).

So then I stumbled upon pictures of this Simpsons’ home remake, and I must say I felt strangely attracted to it – it looks really cosy and I like the fact that it’s so colourful (even though I wouldn’t want to live in it). Should I question my sanity?

The best Online Free Games out there

*** Check out this post and more on this blog’s new location: http://www.youretime.com/blog/ ***

I already knew Teagames (best skating game EVER!) and MiniClip, but here comes a collection of free online games from Facepunch that I can fully endorse.

My favorite: the free download of Grand Theft Auto 2! I used to play this game all the time – not really for the missions, but I especially enjoyed creating havock on intersections, blowing up heaps of cars and killing entire SWAT squadrons…

StumbleUpon – the Blogger’s Cheat

StumbleUpon logo

OK, I admit: I’ve been cheating. Bloggers, or a large portion of them, are said to be ‘pre-surfers’. They follow a zillion feeds and filter out specific information to post on their blog (excluding for example Life Bloggers, who write about what goes on in their life). A new service has arisen that has made this whole process seem largely superfluous: imagine just clicking a button and being taken to any of thousands of interesting sites and pages of your indicated interest – immediately. You guessed it: StumbleUpon does just that. You can even choose what format you’d like to see: video, photo, news, blog… The more you do it, the more it tunes into your interests.

So for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been (among other things of course) using those five minutes in between other work to Stumble around a bit, and discover great new things. I’m not a masochist who thinks keeping a blog alive needs to hurt, but with StumbleUpon it doesn’t feel like I’m doing anything at all really… I highly recommend it to anyone looking for inspiration or highly apt entertainment.
